I am a firm believer in looking good to feel good. I used to wake up at 5:30 before high school to get myself fully ready: outfit, makeup, and hair. I think that fashion is such a good way to express myself and show my personality through what I wear, because fashion is fun! My mom moans and groans every time I come home from the thrift store with a huge bag of clothes saying I spend too much money, and I didn't realize until recently I could pursue this passion of mine in a career setting. Last summer at the thrift store, I was approached by a lady telling me that I have a really good eye for clothes and I should consider a career in styling people. Turns out, her name is Renee Armand and she was a famous singer-songwriter in the '60s and '70s, working with Michael Jackson, John Denver, and Linda Ronstadt. We still email every now and then, and she was the first person to make me believe that I can really pursue this dream of mine of working in fashion!
